An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing
Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, driving an urgent need for more affordable and reliable electricity. More electricity requires new clean energy infrastructure and strong domestic supply chains for minerals and components — as well as large amounts of capital. Traditional project financing is opaque, fragmented, and analog. At Crux, we’re changing that. Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future. We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI- and tech-forward mindset.

We’re hiring an Email Marketing Manager to build and scale a high-impact email marketing engine that increases target account engagement and influences pipeline across Crux’s multi-product platform. This role will own email strategy and execution across nurtures, campaigns, newsletters, and segmentation. You’ll play a critical role in our target account and ABM motion, ensuring email is a strategic lever for engagement, conversion, and revenue impact. This role reports to the Head of Demand Generation and partners closely with Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing.

- Own reporting on engagement, segmentation performance, and pipeline influence
- Build and manage a structured A/B testing roadmap (subject lines, cadence, CTAs, content formats)
- Partner with RevOps to ensure accurate attribution and performance visibility
What You'll Bring
- 3 – 5+ years of B2B or financial services email marketing experience
- Proven experience building and optimizing nurture programs in complex sales cycles
- Strong expertise in HubSpot (workflows, segmentation, reporting, automation)
- Experience supporting enterprise or target account marketing motions
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to translate performance data into optimization strategies
- Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, OpenClaw)
- Strong execution skills with attention to detail
What We Bring
- Base salary and bonus ranging between $100,000 - $140,000
- Competitive equity package in the form of stock options
- Healthcare benefits, including dependent coverage
- Remote-first company with quarterly onsite meetings
Our values
- Care for each other: We want to work on a team where people support each other - in their growth, in their work, and towards our shared mission. When we do that, we have fun.
- Build and improve rapidly: The thing we can best control is our pace of learning and pace of execution. We can’t control the market, regulators, or what competitors do. One of the best ways to move rapidly is to focus, and consistently ask ourselves if we are prioritizing the right things and executing them as best as possible.
- Focus unremittingly on customers: Developers, manufacturers & their advisors are doing critical work to accelerate renewable energy development. Our obligation is to them first, and we must keep their needs front & center in everything we do.
- Demonstrate ownership: We are all owners of Crux. This is our team, our company, our product and we show that to each other.
- Convene a team that reflects the breadth of experiences in the country: We expect everyone to actively help us build a team where people of all backgrounds can thrive. This applies in hiring, people policies, how we interact - and connects closely with caring for each other.
We provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding OPT Sponsorship as an Email Marketing Manager
Lead with campaign performance metrics
Hiring managers want numbers. Come ready with open rates, click-through rates, conversion lifts, and revenue attributed to campaigns you managed. Concrete results signal readiness to contribute immediately and shift attention away from visa status concerns.
Demonstrate platform depth, not just breadth
Proficiency in one or two email platforms deeply, such as Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is more convincing than surface-level familiarity with five. Certifications from these platforms strengthen your profile and show employers you can own the tool stack.
Target e-commerce and SaaS companies first
These sectors run high-volume email programs and hire email specialists regularly. They also tend to have established HR infrastructure familiar with OPT and H-1B visa sponsorship, making the authorization conversation far smoother than with smaller or less structured employers.
Address OPT proactively and confidently
When asked about authorization, state clearly that you have OPT work authorization and are eligible to start immediately. Framing it as a straightforward administrative step, rather than a complication, reduces employer hesitation before it becomes a barrier.
Build a portfolio of email sequences and A/B tests
Showcase actual campaigns you built, including subject line tests, segmentation logic, and automation flows. A documented portfolio proves strategic thinking beyond execution and positions you as someone who can own a program, not just send newsletters.
Align your degree to the specialty occupation standard
Be prepared to articulate how your marketing or communications degree directly applies to the role. USCIS requires a connection between your field of study and your job duties, so having a clear narrative ready helps employers feel confident sponsoring your visa.
Email Marketing Manager OPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Email Marketing Manager role qualify for F-1 OPT work authorization?
Yes. Email Marketing Manager is widely recognized as a specialty occupation because the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. That degree requirement is what makes OPT authorization applicable. You should confirm your specific offer aligns with your degree field before accepting, since USCIS looks at the connection between your education and your job duties when employers later pursue H-1B sponsorship.
Can I work as an Email Marketing Manager on a STEM OPT extension?
It depends on your degree. If you graduated with a STEM-designated degree, such as marketing analytics, data science, or certain information systems programs, you may qualify for a 24-month STEM OPT extension after your initial 12 months. Pure marketing or communications degrees are generally not STEM-designated. Check your degree classification on the official DHS STEM list and confirm with your DSO before counting on the extension.
How do I find Email Marketing Manager jobs that are open to OPT candidates?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for F-1 OPT students and filters roles by visa sponsorship and work authorization compatibility. Searching there gives you a targeted list of Email Marketing Manager openings where employers are already open to OPT candidates, which saves significant time compared to screening generic listings manually.
Will employers sponsor H-1B visas for Email Marketing Managers after OPT?
Many do, particularly at mid-size and enterprise companies with established HR and immigration support. Email marketing roles qualify under the specialty occupation standard, which is the foundation for H-1B eligibility. Your best leverage is demonstrating clear business impact during OPT so sponsorship feels low-risk to the employer. Companies running large lifecycle or e-commerce email programs tend to be the most experienced with the process.
What should I do if an employer says they don't sponsor visas for this role?
Clarify whether they mean they won't sponsor H-1B in the future or whether they're confused about OPT, since OPT does not require employer sponsorship. You're already authorized to work. If they confirm they won't support H-1B down the line and that matters to your long-term plans, it's worth weighing carefully before accepting. Roles at companies with existing immigration programs give you more security beyond your OPT window.
