Many candidates pursue pediatric-focused clinical rotations or fellowships at New York academic medical centers to build subspecialty exposure before applying.
How much do pediatric physician assistants make in New York?
Pediatric physician assistants in New York earn a median of about $160,880 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $106,440 for the lowest 10% to over $201,410 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire pediatric physician assistants in New York?

New York's large academic health systems and children's hospital networks, including those affiliated with major medical schools in the city and upstate, account for a significant share of ongoing pediatric PA openings across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Which New York cities have the most pediatric physician assistant jobs?
The cities with the most pediatric physician assistant openings in New York are New York and Syracuse. New York City dominates the distribution given the concentration of major children's hospitals, academic medical centers, and large multispecialty pediatric practices, while Buffalo and Albany generate consistent demand through regional health systems and university-affiliated pediatric programs serving surrounding communities.
