The Attention Group (TAG) seeks an eager, passionate, responsible, and scientifically minded neuropsychologist who is experienced the area of ADHD and related conditions. Must be licensed or license eligible in New York. Start date is flexible. TAG is a boutique practice specializing in evidence-based care for ADHD and related disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.
Primary duties primarily include neuropsychological assessment, but there is ability to conduct psychotherapy and executive function skills coaching, school consultation, and other clinical and administrative duties. If interested, the psychologist could provide supervision to more junior clinicians. Employees benefit from our training-rich program, with weekly didactics, summer intensives, and ongoing additional learning opportunities. Supervision is available and expected for new hires. We are a young and growing practice, and this is an excellent opportunity for an early career clinician to develop professionally and potentially build out an area of the practice. A terrific cohort of colleagues rounds out the practice as a cheerful and supportive place to be.
Patients: children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, anxiety, OCD, depression, autism, LDs, executive function difficulties, disruptive behavior, family or life stressors, and/or related challenges.
Services: diagnostic and neuropsychological assessment, evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, ACT, ERP, DBT), executive function / ADHD skills coaching, parent training, school consultation. We employ empirically based interventions and embrace strengths in individual differences.
Practice: The atmosphere at TAG is warm, supportive, collaborative, and affirming, valuing hard work and dedication, learning, humor, diversity, and healthy work-life balance.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has a particular interest in ADHD and is an energetic self-starter who enjoys learning, teaching, and working with other providers. She/he/they should have competency in neuropsychological assessment for children and preferably adults as well, and preferably experience with CBT too. Experience with executive function skills training, parent training, school consultation, and/or other evidence-based approaches (DBT, ACT, ERP) a plus. There is flexibility in days, hours, and location (in office/virtual), so long as patients are accommodated.
Supervision/Training: At least one hour of individual supervision is provided for new hires, and ongoing supervision is always possible. There is also weekly group supervision and a weekly didactic, as well as an annual summer intensive training. A book club and additional individual opportunities for training also exist. There is ability to supervise junior clinicians. This is a terrific opportunity for early career practitioners to grow with and potentially build out the practice in areas of interest.
