Jupiter Coil Coating is seeking a dynamic and motivated EHS & HR Specialist to support our Beech Bottom operation. This unique role combines Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) responsibilities with Human Resources support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with employees, driving compliance, and building a strong workplace culture.
The EHS & HR Specialist serves as a key resource for employees and leaders, helping ensure a safe, compliant, and engaged workforce while supporting daily HR operations and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture throughout the facility.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Assist with OSHA compliance, regulatory reporting, and safety documentation.
- Coordinate employee safety training and onboarding programs.
- Track safety metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with operations leaders to identify and reduce workplace risks.
- Support environmental compliance programs and permit requirements.
Human Resources
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation activities.
- Assist employees and supervisors with HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Manage personnel files, employee records, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate leave administration, attendance tracking, and employee communications.
- Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management.
- Support training, engagement initiatives, and employee recognition programs.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and company employment requirements.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate EHS and HR records and reporting.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Analyze trends and recommend improvements in safety, employee engagement, and workforce effectiveness.
What We're Looking
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Safety, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Safety, EHS, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs.
- Experience with employee relations, recruiting, and leave administration.
- Experience with HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now, or similar platforms.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, OSHA, or related certifications are a plus.
