Physician Assistant Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physician assistant job in Brooklyn?
Focus your search on Brooklyn's dense network of hospital-affiliated practices, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and multi-specialty outpatient groups, which post the most openings. Neighborhoods like Sunset Park, Crown Heights, and Flatbush have a high concentration of community health clinics that hire consistently. Candidates who hold specialty certifications and have bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, stand out in Brooklyn's diverse patient population.
Which companies hire physician assistants in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn physician assistant roles are posted by NYU Langone Health, TEEMA, and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring tends to be driven by large academic medical centers, community health networks, and urgent care chains that operate multiple Brooklyn locations.
Are there remote physician assistant jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, though remote work is rare for physician assistants given the hands-on, patient-facing nature of most roles. About 13% of physician assistant openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, covering functions like telehealth follow-up visits and care coordination. Purely administrative or utilization review positions are the most likely to offer full remote flexibility.
How can I get a physician assistant job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is through Federally Qualified Health Centers and community health organizations, which regularly hire new graduates and offer structured clinical support. Brooklyn-based urgent care networks are another consistent source of entry-level openings. Completing rotations at Brooklyn institutions, obtaining BLS and ACLS certification early, and demonstrating comfort with high-volume, diverse patient panels give new graduates a concrete edge in the local market.
