WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
At CertainTeed, safety, performance, and people are at the core of how we operate. We are seeking a Senior Plant Manager to lead our Jonesburg, MO manufacturing facility and ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations while building a strong, engaged workforce.
In this role, you will have full accountability for plant performance—including safety, quality, production, cost, delivery, sustainability, and people development. You will set the vision and culture for the site, translating corporate strategy into daily operational execution while driving continuous improvement and long-term success.
You will be a visible, values-driven leader who champions a proactive safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and integrates sustainability into decision-making. You will lead cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, logistics, engineering, and EHS, using data-driven insights to anticipate challenges and deliver results.
As the senior leader on site, you will own the plant P&L, guide capital investments, and lead transformational change initiatives that position the facility for future growth. Just as importantly, you will build and develop a high-performing leadership team, strengthen the talent pipeline, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and inclusion.
This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives in a complex manufacturing environment and is energized by developing people, improving systems, and delivering sustainable results.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
This role may be a great fit if you bring:
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Masters degree preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility in a plant environment
- Strong expertise in safety leadership, including OSHA compliance and behavior-based safety programs
- Demonstrated success with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, WCM, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven financial acumen, including full P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Experience leading complex change initiatives and driving operational excellence
- A track record of building and developing high-performing leadership teams
- The ability to lead with self-awareness, empathy, and sound judgment, especially during periods of change or operational pressure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Product Management, and external partners
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%
If you are a strategic, people-focused operations leader who values safety, continuous improvement, and long-term business success, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of our Jonesburg operation.
