We are seeking a Senior Site EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for our new R&I Pilot Plant, laboratories, and offices.
This is a unique opportunity to establish and strengthen EHS programs within a new, highly technical research and manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will serve as the primary EHS advisor to R&I leadership, supervisors, safety committees, and associates while building a proactive safety culture from the ground up.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Own the EHS strategy and multi-year program roadmap for the new R&I Pilot Plant, laboratories, and offices.
- Partner with leadership to analyze safety performance, identify risks, prioritize investments, and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead Management of Change activities for new processes, equipment, and facility modifications, ensuring EHS risks are identified and addressed early.
- Oversee environmental compliance related to air, water, waste, stormwater, and required reporting, while maintaining compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations.
- Develop and execute behavior-based safety programs, training, onboarding, assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and targeted EHS improvement projects.
- Mentor EHS specialists and operational leaders while integrating safety into Carlisle Operating System practices.
- Leverage Gensuite, EHS data, and approved AI tools to improve hazard analysis, regulatory research, reporting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 2+ years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
- Experience with behavior-based safety, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and environmental compliance.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state EHS requirements.
- Experience with Gensuite, Intelex, Enablon, or similar EHS platforms.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
