Entry Level Platform Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level platform developer job?
Build a portfolio that shows real projects: deployed applications, API integrations, or contributions to open-source repositories. Entry level platform developer roles typically look for familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and at least one scripting language. Internship experience, bootcamp credentials, or a capstone project can all substitute for a long work history when your code speaks for itself.
Which companies hire entry level platform developers?
Companies hiring entry level platform developers right now include LPA, Lpa, and Andworx, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of employers, including technology product companies, financial services firms, and enterprise software organizations that run structured early-career programs and onboard new developers into platform engineering teams.
Are there remote entry level platform developer jobs?
Yes, though not all entry level openings are fully remote. About 14% of entry level platform developer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates do have flexibility to search beyond their local market. Hybrid roles are common at larger employers that combine remote collaboration with occasional on-site onboarding or team sprints.
Are these new grad platform developer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior platform developer roles. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic project work, or asks for a portfolio rather than a long employment history. Searching for junior or new grad openings alongside entry level helps surface the full range of roles suited to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level platform developers?
Entry Level platform developer roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive early-career hiring because they operate large-scale internal platforms, invest in developer tooling, and run graduate or associate engineering programs that are specifically designed to bring in candidates with limited professional experience.
