Wilco Classics & Speed is looking for a highly motivated Product Development & Design Engineer who wants to turn ideas into real-world automotive products.
This is not a traditional desk engineering position. You'll work directly with our fabrication, machining, and mechanical teams to develop custom automotive components, engineer new products, reverse engineer existing parts, and bring concepts to life using the latest design and manufacturing technologies.

What You'll Do
- Design custom automotive components using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Create both solid models and complex surface models for production.
- Perform 3D scanning and post-scan processing.
- Reverse engineer OEM and aftermarket components.
- Design parts for CNC machining, fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and production documentation.
- Prototype components using 3D printing.
- Work directly with outsourced machine shops and manufacturing partners from prototype through production.
- Collaborate daily with our fabrication, mechanical, and assembly teams to solve engineering challenges.
- Improve manufacturability, reduce production time, and develop repeatable products and processes.
- Take ownership of projects from concept through completed production.
Qualifications
Required
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
- Strong understanding of machining, manufacturing, and fabrication processes.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter with a high level of ownership and accountability.

- Automotive engineering or performance vehicle experience.
- Experience with reverse engineering.
