Position Overview
The Product Development Associate supports the product team throughout the product lifecycle, with increasing responsibility for product development, documentation, vendor communication, and production coordination. If you like to wear many hats, this is the position for you.
Product Developers are responsible for the timely and accurate updates of tech packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs), and for the day-to-day communication with vendors. PDs will work independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals & meet deadlines. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to grow into greater ownership of product development, vendor relationships, sourcing, and process improvement.

- This is a full-time, in-person position - M-F 8 am-4 pm MST - Wednesdays Remote
- Salary range: $55,000–$65,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Day-to-Day
- Daily external communication with factory & mill partners
- Maintain the accuracy of: tech packs, product libraries, costing, and vendor status
- Support tracking of the production calendar & communicate updates accordingly
- Track samples and support in-depth product updates/changes to vendors during the sample process
- Record garment measurements and assist the TD with on-form and model fit reviews
- Maintain sample tracking throughout the production process
- Assist in the recording & tracking of costing for all styles
- Assist in improving knowledge of rules & regulations for all products
- Cross-functional collaboration to complete daily tasks
Long-Term Goals
- Work with leadership to develop calendar and sourcing strategy for new and carryover products
- Aid in executing the organization of photoshoots to aid in marketing material
- Assist in discovering cost savings through sourcing & improved construction methods
- Keep up to date on current trends & innovations within the industry
- Stay informed about the competition's products
- Occasional travel to work on development & sourcing with vendors (international and domestic)

- Knowledge of fabric & garment testing methods and required specifications
- Keen eye for detail when reviewing fabrics & samples

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a design, production, or merchandising department and/or a full-time internship
- A Design and/or Development Bachelor's degree is preferable or equivalent experience

- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively & professionally before groups of customers, partners, or employees of the organization
- Communicate clearly to translate to a person whose first language may not be English
Computer Skills
- Advanced - Illustrator, Google Workspace
- Intermediate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop
- Beginner to Intermediate - CLO3D, Monday, Claude, ChatGPT
