Product Marketing Director Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product marketing director in New Hampshire?
Product marketing director is not a licensed profession in New Hampshire, so there is no state board, exam, or registration required. Most employers in the state look for a bachelor's degree in marketing or business, several years of senior-level product marketing experience, and a portfolio demonstrating successful product launches. An MBA or a professional certification such as the Product Marketing Alliance credential can strengthen a candidacy with New Hampshire's technology and defense sector employers.
How much do product marketing directors make in New Hampshire?
Product marketing directors in New Hampshire earn a median of about $143,280 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $96,990 for the lowest 10% to over $229,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product marketing directors in New Hampshire?
Companies currently hiring product marketing directors in New Hampshire include Amphenol, Dartmouth College, and Global Rescue, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Hampshire's concentration of defense technology firms, healthcare IT companies, and financial services employers in the Manchester-Nashua corridor makes it a consistent market for senior product marketing talent.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most product marketing director jobs?
Manchester, Nashua, and Portsmouth account for the largest share of product marketing director openings in New Hampshire. Manchester and Nashua dominate because they host the state's densest cluster of technology, defense, and financial services employers, while Portsmouth draws postings from maritime technology and energy companies anchored along the Seacoast region.
Are there remote product marketing director jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields. Product marketing director work is fundamentally desk-based, strategic, and communication-driven, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 75% of product marketing director openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader employer flexibility in this discipline. Go-to-market strategy, messaging development, and competitive research are the functions most frequently performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a product marketing director in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a senior product marketing manager or product manager role at one of New Hampshire's established technology employers, then building toward a director title. Companies like BAE Systems and healthcare IT firms in the Manchester area regularly hire product marketing managers who can grow into director responsibilities. Building a portfolio of documented product launches, earning a recognized product marketing certification, and targeting associate director openings at mid-size software companies are the concrete steps that open the door.
