Discover your future at Citi
Working at Citi is far more than just a job. A career with us means joining a team of approximately 219,000 dedicated people from around the globe. At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact.
Job Overview
Services provides global solutions that help corporations, financial institutions, public sector and commercial clients optimize operations and drive their business forward. Through our five business lines – Liquidity Management Services, Payments, Trade & Working Capital Solutions, Investor Services and Issuer Services - we provide cash management, payments/receivables solutions, working capital solutions, post-trade securities services and issuer services across Citi’s global network.
The Opportunity
Citi's Services business is undergoing a profound AI-driven transformation. We are seeking an exceptional Director-level AI Product leader to define and own the end-to-end AI product strategy for a specific business line — whether that is Payments, Liquidity & Cash Management. This is a commercially-driven, business-first role where AI is the tool and measurable business outcomes are the mission.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial execution. You will act as the leader for your business line's AI agenda — owning the roadmap, the business case, the P&L impact, and the go-to-market strategy from concept through commercialization.
What Makes This Role Distinct
Unlike a platform or engineering-focused AI role, this position is defined by:
Deep ownership of a business line's AI agenda.
Direct client co-creation and external engagement to validate and shape AI solutions
A mandate to drive commercial outcomes — revenue, cost savings, and competitive differentiation — not just technology delivery
Leading a matrixed, global product team across multiple regions, functions, and regulatory environments
Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Commercial Ownership
Define and own the global AI product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for your assigned business line, aligned to enterprise AI standards and business objectives
Translate business challenges, client needs, and market dynamics into a prioritised, commercially-sound AI use case pipeline
Build and defend sophisticated business cases with full P&L accountability — evaluating every AI initiative by ROI, revenue potential, cost impact, and strategic fit
Set the commercial agenda: determine where to place strategic bets, how to sequence investments, and how to measure success
Client-Facing AI Product Development
Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered products that create tangible, measurable value for clients — from intelligent payment orchestration and predictive receivables to AI-enhanced advisory solutions
Engage directly with enterprise clients to understand their pain points, co-create solutions, and validate products at every stage of the lifecycle
Translate complex client requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade AI products that can be commercialised and grown globally
Go-to-Market & Scaling
Own the full product lifecycle from initial business case and client discovery through to go-to-market strategy, launch, and post-launch commercial iteration
Lead the geographic expansion of AI capabilities across 30+ markets, adapting solutions to local regulatory requirements while maintaining global design consistency
Champion AI adoption internally — identifying, prioritising, and deploying tools that improve operational efficiency and team productivity across the business line
Responsible AI & Governance
Ensure all AI capabilities are built in line with Citi's enterprise risk standards — establishing model risk governance, data lineage, explainability standards, and regulatory compliance controls
Proactively partner with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Model Risk to navigate the regulatory landscape from day one
Senior Stakeholder Leadership
Cultivate deep partnerships across Sales, Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Legal to drive alignment and consensus on the AI strategy
Serve as the authoritative voice for your business line's AI agenda with senior leadership, clients, and external partners
Who We're Looking For
Required
12+ years of product management or product leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale, technology-led products
Proven experience building, launching, and scaling AI/ML-powered products from concept through commercialisation, ideally in financial services or FinTech
Demonstrated P&L ownership or direct accountability for a key business metric significantly improved through product launches
5+ years of direct or indirect external client-facing experience; comfortable co-creating and validating products with enterprise clients
Deep domain expertise in at least one financial services vertical (Payments, Transaction Banking, LMS)
Deep understanding of AI concepts, model risk management, responsible AI frameworks, and enterprise governance requirements
Exceptional stakeholder management skills — ability to build consensus, influence without authority, and operate effectively in a matrixed global organisation
Outstanding communication skills; ability to translate complex AI concepts for executive, technical, and client audiences alike
Preferred
Experience working within or alongside compliance, legal, or risk functions on regulated AI deployments
Familiarity with Generative AI, agentic AI tools, and their practical application to enterprise productivity and client workflows
Experience leading global product teams across multiple regions
Success Measures
Revenue generated and cost savings delivered through AI-powered products
Speed of use case delivery from concept to commercialisation
Client adoption rates and NPS for AI-powered solutions
Quality and defensibility of business cases and ROI outcomes
Strength and depth of client co-creation relationships

Product Strategy Lead Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product strategy lead in New York?
Most product strategy leads in New York move into the role through a combination of a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a quantitative field and several years in product management, management consulting, or corporate strategy. New York employers place particular weight on experience in industries the city dominates, such as finance, media, or enterprise software. No state-issued license is required, but an MBA from a New York institution can accelerate advancement at larger firms.
Which companies hire product strategy leads in New York?
Employers hiring product strategy leads in New York right now include JPMorganChase, Citi, and EY, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's dense concentration of financial services headquarters, major media companies, and fast-growing SaaS firms means openings appear consistently across a wider range of industries than most other cities.
Which New York cities have the most product strategy lead jobs?
New York, Mineola, and Harrison have the most product strategy lead openings in New York. Manhattan dominates because it is home to the headquarters of major financial institutions, global media brands, and enterprise technology companies, while Brooklyn and other metro-area hubs reflect the growth of mid-size tech and startup employers that have expanded out of lower-Manhattan offices.
Are there remote product strategy lead jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Product strategy is primarily an analytical and collaborative desk role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 47% of product strategy lead openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how broadly New York employers have adopted flexible work for senior individual contributors. Strategy, research, and roadmap work tends to be most remote-friendly, while stakeholder alignment sessions often require occasional on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a product strategy lead in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an associate product manager or rotational strategy program at a large New York employer. JPMorgan Chase, Bloomberg, and Verizon all run structured new-graduate and early-career product programs that place candidates into strategy-adjacent roles. Lateral moves from management consulting, business analysis, or market research are common and well recognized by New York hiring managers. Building a portfolio of case studies tied to New York industries, particularly fintech or media, gives early-career candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to product strategy lead jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to product strategy lead jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings from employers actively hiring. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
