Quality Assurance Analyst Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance analyst in Kansas?
Most quality assurance analyst positions in Kansas require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, though some employers accept an associate degree paired with relevant experience. Kansas does not issue a state-specific QA license, so employers focus on industry certifications such as the Certified Software Quality Engineer or ISTQB credentials. Gaining hands-on experience through internships with Kansas manufacturers or healthcare IT teams is the most direct path to full-time placement.
How much do quality assurance analysts make in Kansas?
Quality assurance analysts in Kansas earn a median of about $94,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,050 for the lowest 10% to over $133,590 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality assurance analysts in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring quality assurance analysts in Kansas include Elanco, Reser's Fine Foods, and Textron Aviation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Kansas's aerospace, healthcare technology, and financial services sectors are consistent sources of ongoing QA demand across both full-time and contract roles.
Which Kansas cities have the most quality assurance analyst jobs?
Wichita, Elwood, and Olathe have the most quality assurance analyst openings in Kansas. Wichita leads because of its deep aerospace and advanced manufacturing base anchored by employers like Spirit AeroSystems and Koch Industries, while Overland Park and the broader Kansas City metro attract QA talent through healthcare IT and financial technology firms concentrated on the Kansas side of the state line.
Are there remote quality assurance analyst jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 20% of quality assurance analyst openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on reviewing documentation, running automated test scripts, and logging defects in cloud-based tools. Software QA and compliance analyst roles are the most consistently remote, while roles tied to physical manufacturing or medical device inspection typically require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance analyst in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is targeting QA associate or junior tester roles at Kansas healthcare IT companies or aerospace suppliers, which regularly bring on candidates who have completed a relevant degree but have limited professional QA experience. Building a portfolio of sample test plans and bug reports strengthens applications considerably. Pursuing an ISTQB Foundation certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge, and lateral moves from adjacent roles such as customer support analyst, technical writer, or production inspector are common stepping stones at Kansas employers.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance analyst jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to quality assurance analyst jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Kansas openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your experience and location preference and apply directly to each one without any additional steps required.
