We’re currently looking for someone with deep experience in automated testing using Cypress, TypeScript, and Azure DevOps. This role will focus on building and maintaining automated validation suites for enterprise applications operating in regulated environments, where automated testing plays a critical role in software quality, release readiness, and compliance.
A genuine enthusiasm for using AI throughout the software development lifecycle is critical to this position. Our most successful consultants are already incorporating AI-assisted development into their daily workflow to improve productivity, accelerate delivery, create better automated tests, and solve complex engineering problems. We’re looking for someone who embraces these tools thoughtfully and is excited about where they’re taking our industry.
If you enjoy building reliable automation frameworks, improving release quality, working directly with clients, and being part of a collaborative consulting team, we’d love to talk with you.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites using Cypress and TypeScript.
- Expand and maintain reusable automation frameworks, shared testing utilities, and custom testing commands.
- Develop automated validation for authentication, authorization, workflow, integration, security, and release testing scenarios.
- Ensure automated test suites provide reliable release gating by producing consistent, audit-ready validation evidence.
- Collaborate with developers and client stakeholders to troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and distinguish application defects from environment or data issues.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines supporting automated testing, artifact publication, and validation workflows.
- Work with Azure services, including Entra ID, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Azure CLI, to support secure automated testing.
- Maintain Docker-based test environments and automation infrastructure used in local development and CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to technical documentation, testing standards, validation procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve automation quality, productivity, and delivery while exercising sound engineering judgment.
- Adapt quickly to new client environments, technologies, and business domains.
- Contribute to a collaborative consulting culture by sharing knowledge and supporting fellow consultants.
Required Qualifications

- Experience testing applications secured by third-party identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID authentication flows.
- Experience developing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including Key Vault, Blob Storage, Azure CLI, and related automation tooling.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized test execution.
- Proficiency with Bash or other shell scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, automated API testing, and modern software architecture.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile development practices.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) as part of everyday software development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients.
- Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to different technical environments.
- Curiosity about emerging AI capabilities and enthusiasm for continually improving software development and testing practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as a consultant or in client-facing technical roles.
- Experience developing software for regulated environments such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience with requirements traceability, validation documentation, and audit-ready testing practices.
- Familiarity with JSON schema validation and REST API testing.

Quality Assurance Intern Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance intern in Kansas?
Most quality assurance intern roles in Kansas do not require a state-issued license, but employers expect candidates to be actively enrolled in a degree program in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related field. In aerospace-heavy Wichita, familiarity with AS9100 standards gives applicants a clear edge. Healthcare-adjacent QA roles in Overland Park and Kansas City often look for exposure to FDA regulatory frameworks or Good Manufacturing Practice coursework before candidates are considered.
Which companies hire quality assurance interns in Kansas?
Companies currently hiring quality assurance interns in Kansas include Elanco, datamap, and Amcor, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Kansas's aerospace and medtech sectors generate some of the most consistent intern openings, particularly with large manufacturers and technology companies headquartered in Wichita and the Kansas City metro.
Which Kansas cities have the most quality assurance intern jobs?
Wichita, Lenexa, and Overland Park have the most quality assurance intern openings in Kansas. Wichita leads because of its dense concentration of aerospace and defense manufacturers, while Overland Park and Kansas City benefit from large healthcare IT and consumer technology employers whose QA teams take on interns throughout the year.
Are there remote quality assurance intern jobs in Kansas?
Yes, and more than most fields, particularly for software QA and testing roles. About 44% of quality assurance intern openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed software development work has become. Hardware inspection, manufacturing quality, and lab-based validation roles remain almost entirely on-site.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance intern in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured internship programs run by Kansas's large aerospace and healthcare employers, where prior QA experience is not expected. Textron Aviation in Wichita and Oracle Health in Overland Park both operate formal intern programs open to students early in their academic programs. Candidates moving laterally from help desk, lab assistant, or technical support roles are strong fits, and completing a free or low-cost software testing certification before applying gives a resume a concrete credential to point to.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance intern jobs in Kansas?
You can find and apply to quality assurance intern jobs in Kansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to each one that fits.
