Put your eye for detail and technical knowledge to work where they matter! O.C.E.A.N., Inc. is looking for a Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to join our Weatherization team and help ensure that completed work meets program standards, quality expectations, and the needs of the households we serve.
As a QCI, you’ll visit completed Weatherization projects to inspect the work, verify that improvements were properly installed, and make sure projects meet required standards before they are finalized.
A typical day may include:
Traveling to residential properties to conduct quality control inspections
Reviewing completed Weatherization work and verifying that measures were properly installed
Inspecting insulation, air sealing, heating and cooling systems, windows, doors, appliances, and other installed measures
Performing diagnostic testing and collecting measurements as required
Comparing completed work with the original assessment, work scope, and program requirements
Identifying deficiencies, safety concerns, or areas requiring correction
Documenting inspection findings and completing required reports and records
Communicating findings with Weatherization staff and contractors
Conducting follow-up inspections when corrections are needed
Helping ensure projects meet applicable Weatherization program requirements before completion
In short—you’ll be the quality check that helps make sure the work was done correctly, safely, and according to program standards.
