Many candidates move into the role after several years in coordinator, analyst, or specialist positions within their industry. Earning a Lean Six Sigma certification or a Project Management Professional credential strengthens your profile considerably with New Jersey's logistics and pharmaceutical employers.
Which companies hire operations leads in New Jersey?
New Jersey operations lead roles are posted by JPMorganChase, Walmart, and At Home The Home Decor Superstore and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New Jersey's dense concentration of pharmaceutical, logistics, and financial services firms means steady demand across both corporate headquarters and regional distribution centers throughout the state.
Which New Jersey cities have the most operations lead jobs?
Jersey City, Hoboken, and Whippany have the most operations lead openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City generate heavy demand through their finance and logistics sectors and proximity to major port and rail infrastructure, while Edison and the broader Central Jersey corridor attract openings from pharmaceutical headquarters, warehousing operations, and regional corporate campuses anchored by large national employers.
Are there remote operations lead jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, but they're rare. About 44% of operations lead openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the hands-on, team-facing nature of most operations lead roles.
