About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Employee Benefits Specialist to support our growing Employee Benefits team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping benefits administration organized, following requests through completion, and working directly with insurance carriers, employers, and employees to resolve day-to day benefit issues.
What You’ll Do
- Process employee enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life event changes with insurance carriers.
- Monitor enrollment and termination requests through completion and confirm carrier updates are processed accurately and timely.
- Assist with COBRA administration and eligibility-related requests.
- Assist employees with medical claims and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) questions.
- Work with insurance carriers to research and resolve enrollment, eligibility, billing, and claims-related issues.
- Follow up on outstanding carrier requests and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
- Support the Employee Benefits team with day-to-day client service and administrative needs.
- Handle confidential employee and protected health information with professionalism and discretion.
- Help ensure benefit changes and service requests are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous employee benefits, insurance, HR, or benefits administration experience preferred.
- Familiarity with medical, dental, vision, and ancillary employee benefits is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines without losing track of details.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort communicating with insurance carriers, employers, and employees.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Experience with benefits administration platforms or carrier portals is a plus.

Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - In Office | Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - In Office | Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - In Office
This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available for this role.
Compensation $23-$24 per hour, depending on experience.
