American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with a WA compact license in hand and at least 1 year of experience for a day-shift outpatient assignment at a Level III Trauma Center.
Details
- Short Term Acute Care Level III Trauma Center setting
- Adult outpatient work setting in the Radiation Therapy department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses ARIA, GE, TrueBeam, and Varian 21 ex/ix treatment units
- Uses Varis-Vision/ARIA record and verify systems
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist required
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Required experience with Epic charting system
- Skilled in radiation safety, beam modifying/positioning, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
- Experience with CT simulation and treatment site simulation preferred
- Experience treating heterotopic bone, keloids, and prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
- Experience with IMRT, respiratory gating, and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
- Knowledge of billing for treatment types and devices
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include pretreatment planning, CT simulation, and delivering radiation treatment using advanced modalities
- Scrubs of any color accepted across all units
- No parking fees at this facility
- Candidates may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel staff and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- First-time travelers are considered for this role
