Regional Service Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional service manager in Texas?
Most regional service managers in Texas move into the role after several years in field service technician, service coordinator, or operations supervisor positions. Texas does not require a universal state license for this management role, but industry-specific credentials matter: HVAC professionals may need a Texas Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor license, while those in healthcare technology often pursue CBET or similar biomedical certifications. A bachelor's degree in business or engineering strengthens most applications, and familiarity with Texas's energy and industrial sectors is a real advantage.
Which companies hire regional service managers in Texas?
Employers hiring regional service managers in Texas right now include Burns & McDonnell, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and Stand Together Foundation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of energy, manufacturing, and large commercial real estate operations means demand is especially consistent among industrial equipment suppliers and facilities services companies headquartered or regionally based in the state.
Which Texas cities have the most regional service manager jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Austin have the most regional service manager openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its dense concentration of energy, petrochemical, and industrial equipment companies, Dallas draws from its large commercial services and corporate headquarters sector, and San Antonio supports steady demand through its military installations, healthcare systems, and growing manufacturing base.
Are there remote regional service manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're uncommon. Regional service managers typically oversee field teams and client sites in person, which makes full remote work the exception rather than the norm. About 19% of regional service manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and where remote work does appear it tends to cover administrative and reporting responsibilities rather than direct team oversight or client-site visits.
How can I get hired as a regional service manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a field service technician or service coordinator role at a large Texas employer, then building toward team lead responsibilities. Companies like Emerson, Johnson Controls, and Lennox regularly post associate service manager and service supervisor roles in Houston and Dallas that serve as direct pipelines into regional management. Earning a relevant certification, such as a Texas HVAC contractor license or a facilities management credential, and demonstrating cross-functional experience with scheduling, budgeting, or customer escalation accelerates that progression considerably.
Where can I find and apply to regional service manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to regional service manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the available roles by city or specialty, find a position that fits your background, and apply directly to the employer through the listing.
