THE OPPORTUNITY

The Regional Vice President of Sales & Operations will lead the development of a major multi-state territory while helping Delora Care create a regional growth model that can be replicated in future markets.

This is not a traditional desk-based leadership role. The successful candidate will be visible throughout the territory, actively meeting with referral sources, developing strategic partnerships, identifying market opportunities, representing Delora Care in the community, and supporting the operational foundation required for long-term growth.

The person selected for this role must be comfortable working in a growing organization where initiative, accountability, adaptability, relationship development, and measurable results are essential. This individual will be expected to recognize opportunities, develop solutions, take ownership of regional performance, and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and internal teams to move the business forward.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Delora Care is seeking a driven, sales-focused Regional Vice President of Sales & Operations to lead the expansion of our non-medical senior care services across Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky.

The primary focus of this role is sales, business development, market expansion, client acquisition, referral development, and regional revenue growth. The position also includes a supporting layer of operational leadership to ensure that caregiver capacity, service quality, client satisfaction, compliance, and regional infrastructure keep pace with business growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Regional Vice President will effectively lead the regional business, own the profit and loss for the assigned territory, and play a central role in the company’s long-term vision of expanding into additional U.S. markets.

The Regional Vice President will be expected to develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for all three states while recognizing that each market may require a different approach. This includes evaluating local demographics, referral opportunities, community needs, competition, caregiver availability, service demand, and revenue potential.

WHO WE SERVE

Delora Care serves private-pay clients, Long-Term Care insurance policyholders, and VA benefit-eligible veterans.

We do not bill Medicaid, Medicare, or other third-party payers. Therefore, this role is focused on direct client acquisition, community-based referral development, professional relationship building, and referral-source partnerships rather than payer contracting.

The Regional Vice President must understand how to communicate the value of non-medical senior care to prospective clients, families, professional referral sources, and community partners. The individual must also be able to build trust with families who may be making important and time-sensitive care decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Regional Vice President of Sales & Operations include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sales and Business Development Primary Focus

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive regional sales strategy designed to create rapid, sustainable, and profitable revenue growth across Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky.
• Create individual market-development plans for each state and priority service area based on local demand, demographics, referral opportunities, competition, caregiver availability, and growth potential.
• Establish clear sales goals, activity expectations, referral targets, conversion goals, revenue projections, and market-development priorities.
• Build and maintain productive referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, independent living communities, memory care communities, senior centers, skilled nursing facilities, hospice providers, home health organizations, VA representatives, elder-law professionals, financial professionals, faith-based organizations, and other community partners.
• Develop relationships with professionals who regularly assist older adults, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families seeking private-duty or non-medical care services.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities, service lines, community partnerships, referral channels, and strategic relationships within the region.
• Own the full sales cycle, including market research, prospecting, outreach, relationship development, presentations, client education, proposals, negotiation, follow-up, and closing.
• Generate new business from private-pay clients, Long-Term Care insurance policyholders, and VA benefit-eligible veterans.
• Develop professional presentations, outreach strategies, follow-up plans, and referral-development activities that clearly communicate Delora Care’s services, values, and ability to support clients and families.
• Meet directly with prospective clients, families, referral partners, and community leaders when executive involvement will strengthen the relationship or improve the likelihood of securing new business.
• Represent Delora Care at community events, health fairs, networking functions, professional meetings, educational programs, conferences, and industry associations to strengthen brand awareness and community presence.
• Develop a consistent process for maintaining relationships with referral partners after the initial introduction.
• Ensure referral partners receive appropriate follow-up, communication, updates, and ongoing engagement so Delora Care remains a trusted resource when care needs arise.
• Maintain an organized and accurate sales pipeline that reflects active opportunities, referral sources, anticipated start dates, potential revenue, follow-up activity, barriers, and expected outcomes.
• Track and report sales activity, referral volume, conversion rates, client acquisition, revenue performance, market trends, and progress toward established targets.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts and communicate opportunities, risks, barriers, and recommended actions to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Evaluate which referral channels and community activities produce the strongest results and adjust the regional strategy accordingly.
• Work with internal leadership to ensure marketing, outreach, and community-development resources are directed toward opportunities with the greatest potential for sustainable growth.
• Mentor and support local caregiving staff, coordinators, and other team members with appropriate client acquisition, professional brand representation, community engagement, and referral awareness.

Regional Growth and Market Expansion

• Identify priority cities, counties, and service areas for expansion throughout Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky.
• Conduct market evaluations to determine service demand, referral potential, competitive conditions, staffing availability, and operational readiness.
• Develop practical market-entry plans that outline the partnerships, staffing, systems, processes, and resources needed to launch and sustain services.
• Help establish Delora Care’s presence in new communities by building relationships before and during market entry.
• Identify potential barriers to expansion and work with the Chief Executive Officer and internal leadership to create solutions.
• Help develop a regional sales and operations playbook that can be improved, documented, and replicated as Delora Care enters additional U.S. markets.
• Recommend new service opportunities, partnerships, geographic areas, and strategic investments that support the company’s long-term vision.

Operations Supporting Focus

• Provide strategic and light day-to-day oversight of regional operations to ensure client satisfaction, quality of care, and alignment with company expectations.
• Partner with staffing, recruiting, scheduling, and care-coordination teams to ensure sufficient caregiver capacity is available to support new and existing business.
• Maintain close communication with operational teams before new clients or new markets are launched to confirm that appropriate staffing and service resources are available.
• Help ensure that sales growth remains aligned with the agency’s ability to provide safe, dependable, consistent, and high-quality care.
• Monitor client satisfaction, service concerns, staffing barriers, retention risks, and operational challenges that may affect regional growth or the agency’s reputation.
• Support the timely resolution of regional concerns by connecting the appropriate operational leaders, resources, and decision-makers.
• Monitor regional profitability, budgets, expenses, service volume, revenue trends, client census, and key performance indicators.
• Report regional financial and operational results to the Chief Executive Officer and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Evaluate the financial impact of proposed markets, partnerships, service opportunities, and regional investments.
• Ensure regional activities comply with applicable state regulations, licensing requirements, company policies, and established service standards.
• Help identify and establish the staffing, leadership, systems, technology, processes, and operational infrastructure needed to support expansion into new markets.
• Collaborate with company leadership to strengthen systems and processes as the organization grows.
• Protect Delora Care’s reputation by ensuring that business growth does not come at the expense of client safety, service quality, compliance, caregiver readiness, or family satisfaction.

Regional Leadership and Collaboration

• Serve as a strategic connection between the Chief Executive Officer, sales activities, regional operations, care coordination, staffing, recruiting, and community partners.
• Communicate regional goals, market priorities, performance expectations, and growth strategies clearly and consistently.
• Promote accountability by monitoring progress, identifying gaps, and ensuring appropriate follow-up on regional initiatives.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members involved in community outreach, referral development, client acquisition, and regional expansion.
• Encourage collaboration between sales and operations so new business can be accepted responsibly and supported successfully.
• Help build a professional, responsive, growth-oriented culture that reflects Delora Care’s commitment to clients, families, caregivers, and community partners.
• Represent Delora Care with professionalism, discretion, credibility, and integrity in every internal and external interaction.
• Complete additional sales, business-development, leadership, and operational responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer based on the needs and continued growth of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and professional characteristics:

• At least 10 years of proven success in sales, business development, account management, market expansion, or related leadership responsibilities.
• Experience within home care, private-duty care, senior services, healthcare services, assisted living, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• A demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue, client-growth, business-development, or market-expansion targets.
• Strong network-building skills and the ability to establish credible, lasting relationships with professional and community referral sources.
• The ability to independently manage the complete sales process from initial prospecting and relationship development through follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
• Familiarity with private-pay client acquisition, Long-Term Care insurance, and VA benefits, including Aid and Attendance, is highly desired.
• Experience developing relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, senior communities, VA representatives, elder-law professionals, financial professionals, and community organizations.
• Comfort with providing operational oversight involving staffing, compliance, budgets, performance indicators, client satisfaction, and service quality in addition to sales responsibilities.
• Experience reviewing budgets, revenue reports, sales forecasts, profitability, and other financial or operational performance information.
• The ability to analyze market conditions, identify opportunities, recognize barriers, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, guide, coach, and collaborate with individuals across different roles and departments.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the motivation, initiative, and ambition to grow the assigned territory into a platform for future regional expansion.
• The ability to work independently in a field-based executive position while remaining highly communicative, organized, accountable, and results-focused.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, strategic-planning, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong professional judgment, discretion, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base Salary: $125,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
• Performance Bonus: $50,000 baseline, with the potential to earn up to $100,000 based on sales performance and regional profitability.
