INTRODUCTION
Some units give you experience. This one gives you confidence.
The Telemetry/Stepdown Unit at Deaconess Henderson cares for a diverse population of cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and complex medical-surgical patients who require closer monitoring and advanced nursing care. As a 21-bed specialty unit, nurses gain hands-on experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, titratable medication drips, NIH Stroke Scale assessments, and higher-acuity patients—all while building a strong foundation for future career growth.
This is the kind of unit that challenges you to think critically, sharpen your clinical judgment, and develop skills that will serve you throughout your nursing career. Supported by a team that prioritizes collaboration and high-quality patient care, you'll never face those challenges alone.
If you're looking for a unit that will push you, support you, and help you become the nurse you aspire to be, Telemetry/Stepdown is the place to start.
