Careerflow Human Data Labs partners with AI companies to bring real-world professional expertise into their products.
We are working with an AI research organization that is building systems capable of handling long, multi-step professional work. To do that well, those systems need to learn from how expert practitioners actually operate, not from generic online content.
What you will do:
Choose one recurring task from your own work that spans days to months (for example, planning and running an offsite, or managing a quarterly board meeting cycle end to end)
Complete a structured online form documenting that task end to end, at a level of detail where someone who has never done the job could follow it
Cover the specifics: exact thresholds, scoring criteria, escalation paths, message channels, tool access, failure modes
This is expected to take approximately 10 hours of total time and can be completed in multiple sittings.
If you do well, you may be extended to provide multiple such submissions.
Requirements
5+ years supporting an executive or principal directly, currently or recently practising
Ownership of complex, multi-week workstreams, not calendar management alone
Experience supporting US-based executives or organizations
Comfortable writing at length and being precise about rules and thresholds
Available for 10-14 hours of focused work over a 7-10 day window
Process
The entire process is intended to be quick and simple, taking less than an hour or two of your time, with quick results.
You will need to go through an AI-driven interview (10-15 minutes) explaining your general background
You will need to perform a small assessment that mimics the actual work (~30 minutes)
Final review by in-house team

Tips for Your Remote Personal Assistant Job Search
Prove async communication skills upfront
Remote personal assistant roles depend almost entirely on written and async communication. Include concrete examples in your resume and cover letter of tasks you coordinated over email, Slack, or project management tools without needing real-time check-ins.
Show your remote tool stack clearly
List the specific tools you use, such as Google Workspace, Notion, Asana, Zoom, and Calendly. Remote hiring managers scan for tool fluency immediately because onboarding time is short and you'll need to hit the ground running without in-person support.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote personal assistant openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your experience and apply directly without sorting through unrelated listings. Apply as soon as a role goes live, since remote positions fill faster than in-office ones.
Prepare for a remote-style screening interview
Expect remote employers to run initial interviews entirely over video. Practice concise answers about how you manage priorities independently, handle ambiguous requests from executives you can't walk over to, and keep yourself organized without office structure.
Remote Personal Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote personal assistant job?
Target remote-first companies, distributed startups, and virtual executive offices, since those employers are most likely to hire personal assistants who never come into a physical office. Remote employers screen hard for self-direction, crisp written communication, and comfort with async tools like Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace. A portfolio of real tasks you've managed independently, even from contract or freelance work, gives you a clear edge over candidates with in-office experience only.
Which companies hire remote personal assistants?
Companies hiring remote personal assistants right now include Qureos, Stifel, and Sage Haus, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote personal assistant roles cluster at remote-first technology firms, distributed professional services companies, and virtual executive teams across sectors including software, finance, and media.
Can you get a remote personal assistant job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level personal assistant roles are harder to land than in-office ones because you're expected to work independently from day one with minimal supervision. Smaller remote-first startups and solo founders often hire first-time assistants. Show concrete examples of organized, self-directed work, such as freelance coordination, volunteer scheduling, or managing a complex personal project, to replace formal experience on your application.
Do you need a degree for remote personal assistant jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring personal assistants weigh demonstrated organizational skills, reliability, and written communication far more heavily than a specific degree. What opens the door is evidence you can manage calendars, inboxes, and priorities without hand-holding, whether that comes from a degree, a certification in project management tools, or a documented history of handling real administrative responsibilities.
