We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Procurement & Vendor Management to lead all sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship functions across the organization. This leader will drive cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and long-term supplier partnerships that support our company’s mission and growth.
As the key buyer and contract negotiator, you will oversee vendor selection, procurement operations, contract lifecycle management, and performance optimization across multiple categories including technology, services, logistics, and materials.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Operations
- Own and evolve the organization’s procurement strategy, policies, and workflows.
- Build a centralized, scalable procurement function across departments and business units.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing across all major spend categories.
Vendor Management
- Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage high-performing vendors and suppliers.
- Lead negotiations for pricing, contract terms, and SLAs to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Conduct regular vendor evaluations and scorecards to ensure performance and accountability.
Budget & Cost Optimization
- Oversee procurement budget planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality, compliance, and business continuity.
- Partner with Finance and department leaders to forecast and manage spend.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all procurement activities follow internal controls, legal guidelines, and ethical standards.
- Monitor supplier risk, data security, and supply chain disruptions.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Implement and manage procurement systems, tools, and data dashboards (ERP, eProcurement, etc.).
- Use analytics to make data-driven sourcing decisions and identify process improvements.
- Champion continuous improvement, automation, and digital procurement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of procurement and vendor management experience.
- Strong background in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Experience managing complex budgets and large-scale purchasing operations.
- Familiarity with procurement tools and platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle).
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA or CPSM a plus).
