Who's Hiring

Restaurant Jobs in Greensboro: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant job in Greensboro?
The most direct path is applying to the dense clusters of openings along South Elm Street in South End, the Downtown dining district, and the chain and independent restaurants lining Battleground Avenue near Friendly Center and Wendover Avenue. Full-service independents, fast-casual concepts, and hotel food and beverage operations at properties near the Sheraton and Marriott tend to hire most actively. Candidates with a ServSafe certification and flexible weekend availability move through the hiring process fastest in Greensboro.
Which companies hire restaurants in Greensboro?
Companies currently hiring restaurants in Greensboro include Cook Out Restaurants, Bojangles', and Taco Bell, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local mix ranges from regional chains and national franchises along major retail corridors to independent full-service restaurants and hotel food and beverage operations tied to Greensboro's convention and business travel market.
Are there remote restaurant jobs in Greensboro?
Yes, though rarely for front-of-house or kitchen roles since nearly all restaurant work is on-site by nature. About 0% of restaurant openings tied to Greensboro are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be corporate roles such as district management, supply chain coordination, or marketing for multi-unit operators with a Greensboro presence.
How can I get a restaurant job in Greensboro with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is applying for host, busser, or food runner roles at the independent full-service restaurants in the Downtown Greensboro dining scene and along South Elm Street, where owners often train from scratch rather than requiring prior experience. Fast-casual and quick-service locations on Battleground Avenue and Wendover Avenue also hire entry-level crew regularly. Mentioning open weekend and evening availability and a willingness to earn a ServSafe Food Handler certificate gives inexperienced applicants a clear edge locally.
