Join the City of Eau Claire as a Risk Management Intern and help support initiatives that promote employee safety, reduce organizational risk, and strengthen emergency preparedness across City operations. You'll gain valuable experience researching policies, developing safety resources, coordinating projects, analyzing data, and working alongside professionals in risk management, emergency management, public safety, planning, public health, and engineering.
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate in risk management, construction management, occupational safety and health, emergency management, insurance, public health, or a related field at a college or university
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and proficiency in multi-tasking
Preferred:
- OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred; or willingness to obtain certification during the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Length of Internship:
- Approximately 20 hours per week for 20 weeks, flexible scheduling Monday through Friday.
