INTRODUCTION
Ingram Roofing Inc. is hiring an experienced Roofing and Exterior Service Technician in Rochester, Michigan.
This role is for a skilled technician who can diagnose leaks, identify root causes, complete roofing and exterior repairs, document work clearly, and communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and internal service leadership.
Pay: $20 to $40 per hour, based on demonstrated experience
Schedule: Full-Time
Location: Rochester, MI and surrounding service areas
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose exterior issues
- Identify root causes of leaks, water intrusion, and exterior system failures.
Perform repairs
- Complete roofing, siding, flashing, trim, caulking, and exterior repair work.
Work independently
- Handle assigned service calls without constant supervision.
Document each job
- Capture photos, notes, repair details, time tracking, and materials used before leaving each jobsite.
Communicate professionally
- Explain findings and repair needs to homeowners, builders, managers, and team members.
Support quality outcomes
- Complete work accurately and reduce unnecessary return visits.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of roofing, siding, exterior repair, or construction service experience.
Technical ability
- Strong ability to identify the root causes of leaks and exterior system failures.
Driver’s license
- Valid driver’s license required.
Transportation
- Reliable transportation required unless assigned a company vehicle.
Physical ability
- Ability to work safely on ladders, roofs, and various roof pitches.
Ladder use
- Ability to safely use extension ladders up to 40 feet when required.
Lifting
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds when needed.
Documentation
- Strong discipline with photos, notes, materials used, and time tracking.
Schedule
- Ability to work overtime or urgent service calls when needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with single-ply roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, and PVC, is preferred. Experience with chimney flashing, dormer repairs, siding sections, window trim, light carpentry, cedar, vinyl siding, fiber cement, metal trim, and exterior maintenance is also a plus.
