Entry Level Sales Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level sales director job?
At the entry level, employers look for candidates who can demonstrate initiative, coachability, and early sales results, even from internships, campus roles, or self-directed projects. A quantified win, such as a conversion rate you improved or a pipeline you helped build, carries real weight. Applying to roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates or list zero to two years of experience gives you the strongest starting point.
Which companies hire entry level sales directors?
Companies hiring entry level sales directors right now include Sunrise Senior Living, Aimbridge Hospitality, and Marriott International, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage companies, regional firms, and organizations building out sales teams who are willing to develop early-career talent.
Are there remote entry level sales director jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles are still the majority at this level. About 6% of entry level sales director openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, so candidates who need flexibility should filter for those work settings when searching current listings on Migrate Mate.
Are these new grad sales director jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior sales director roles that welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no formal experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists zero to two years of experience as acceptable, mentions internship experience, or invites candidates who can show a portfolio of early sales or business development work.
Which industries hire the most entry level sales directors?
Entry Level sales director roles concentrate in Hospitality & Tourism, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because they rely on high-volume sales teams and actively invest in developing early-career candidates into future leadership.
