Sales Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales manager job in Los Angeles?
Target the sectors that dominate Los Angeles hiring: entertainment and media, commercial real estate, technology, healthcare services, and logistics. Jobs concentrate in Downtown LA, Century City, El Segundo, Culver City, and the San Fernando Valley. Candidates who stand out typically bring a book of business relevant to one of those verticals, experience managing a quota-carrying team, and familiarity with the relationship-driven culture that characterizes LA business.
Which companies hire sales managers in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring sales managers in Los Angeles include Hampr, goodr, and TikTok, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles attracts a wide mix of large media conglomerates, fast-growing tech firms, commercial real estate brokerages, and consumer brands, all of which maintain active sales management headcount in the city.
Are there remote sales manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role. Sales manager positions focused on enterprise software, SaaS, or inside sales teams tend to support remote or hybrid arrangements, while roles in commercial real estate, retail, or field sales typically require in-person presence. About 67% of sales manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Pipeline management and coaching duties are the functions most commonly handled remotely in the LA market.
How can I get a sales manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Los Angeles is moving up from a senior individual-contributor sales role, particularly in tech, media, or real estate, where companies routinely promote top performers into team lead or associate manager roles. Employers in the LA startup ecosystem and mid-size SaaS companies in Culver City and El Segundo are especially open to first-time managers. Building measurable results in a quota-carrying role and demonstrating you can mentor junior reps gives you a concrete edge in this market.
Which industries hire the most sales managers in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles sales manager roles concentrate in Food & Beverage, Technology & Software, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Los Angeles's unique mix of a major port economy, the global entertainment industry, a growing tech corridor, and one of the largest healthcare markets in the country drives consistent demand across all of those sectors.
