Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to meet or exceed sales goals through effective coaching and performance management.
• Develop and implement innovative sales strategies tailored to target markets, enhancing overall store profitability.
• Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to optimize sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular employee orientation, training sessions, and development programs to build a high-performing team with strong product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Manage customer relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional activities and ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and maintaining accurate sales records.
• Supervise store functions including cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, inventory control, and store cleanliness to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist in recruiting new team members through interviewing and selection processes while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Monitor retail math metrics such as sales per square foot, gross profit margins, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customer decisions and close sales effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
• Experience in recruiting, training & development, employee orientation, and supervising staff within a retail environment.
• Proficiency in managing POS systems, inventory management software, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, pricing policies, and inventory control methods.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across shift management duties.
• Leadership qualities with experience in team management, supervising staff shifts, and developing talent for future growth opportunities.
