ROLE SUMMARY: The Dual Sales Manager is responsible for driving group room revenue for Hyatt while
simultaneously selling SMERF – Social room-only blocks for Hotel Drover. This role strategically supports two distinct properties, markets, and sales approaches, requiring strong organization, relationship-building, and the ability to pivot between full-service group sales and targeted SMERF room block business. This position partners closely with revenue management, operations, and catering teams to ensure a seamless client experience while maximizing room night production and profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Hyatt – Group Sales Focus
- Manage assigned group accounts
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure group needs are communicated and
- executed successfully
- Conduct site tours and client presentations as needed
- Hotel Drover – SMERF Room-Only Focus
- Proactively solicit and book SMERF room-only blocks for Hotel Drover
- Identify and cultivate relationships with planners, and local organizations
- Negotiate room block contracts in alignment with revenue strategy and availability
- Serve as primary contact for clients through contract signing and pre-arrival
- coordination
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, solutions-focused
- atmosphere for all clients and guests.
- Drive incremental revenue through strategic upselling
- Prepare internal documents such as event resumes timely and accurately
- Communicate all group specifications, historical data, and key details to internal
- departments to ensure seamless execution.
- Prepare external communications such as addendums, updates, and client-facing
- event documents.
- Achieve or exceed assigned room night and revenue goals (if applicable)
- Balance and prioritize sales efforts across both properties to maximize total
- revenue
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness, professionalism, and service for all clients
- Partner with Revenue Management to ensure proper pricing, displacement
- analysis, and inventory controls
- Participate in sales meetings, strategy sessions, and property tours as required
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts
- Represent both hotels at industry events, trade shows, and community networking opportunities.
