Sales Training Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales training manager in Texas?
Most sales training managers in Texas move into the role after building a strong individual sales record, then transitioning into coaching, onboarding, or enablement work. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers typically look for a bachelor's degree alongside demonstrated field sales experience. Earning a recognized credential such as a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance designation strengthens candidacy, particularly at larger Texas-based corporations in technology, financial services, and insurance.
How much do sales training managers make in Texas?
Sales training managers in Texas earn a median of about $124,280 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $77,620 for the lowest 10% to over $202,490 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales training managers in Texas?
Employers hiring sales training managers in Texas right now include The Home Depot, Champion Home Builders, and Crunch Fitness, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of large corporate headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston means many openings come from enterprise employers building or scaling in-house sales enablement functions.
Which Texas cities have the most sales training manager jobs?
Austin, Houston, and Arlington account for the largest share of sales training manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense cluster of corporate headquarters across telecom, financial services, and technology, while Houston's energy and healthcare sectors drive consistent demand, and Austin's fast-growing tech and SaaS ecosystem generates steady need for structured sales onboarding programs.
Are there remote sales training manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since curriculum development and virtual coaching translate well to remote formats. About 8% of sales training manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work can be delivered through video platforms and LMS tools. Live field coaching and new-hire onboarding cohorts are the parts of the role most likely to require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales training manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a top-performing sales representative or sales team lead role into a training coordinator or sales enablement specialist position. Large Texas employers in insurance, retail banking, and technology often post associate enablement or junior onboarding roles that do not require prior training management experience. Building a portfolio of onboarding materials, call-coaching notes, or a recorded training session strengthens an application considerably, as does completing an instructional design or adult learning certificate through a Texas community college or university system.
Where can I find and apply to sales training manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to sales training manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly through each listing.
