Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Senior Business Development Manager with 5+ years of B2B sales experience to fuel our nationwide growth. This role focuses exclusively on prospecting and closing mid-market Home Service businesses in the US generating $1M+ in annual revenue (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, solar, and multi-location trade contractors).
While you must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for core team alignment, your sales territory is unrestricted across the United States. You will pitch established home service owners on migrating to or launching high-converting websites built directly on our custom platform—engineered specifically to dominate local organic search, maximize lead capture, and generate exclusive inbound service calls. (Note: We specialize strictly in lead generation and SEO web solutions on our proprietary platform; we do not engage in e-commerce.)
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Sales & Revenue Generation: Prospect, pitch, and close $1M+ home service companies onto Galaxy SEO’s proprietary lead generation and SEO web platform across the US.
- Consultative Lead-Gen Selling: Educate home service owners and executives on how our proprietary platform outperforms standard open-source sites by driving higher organic search visibility, conversion-focused user experiences, and direct phone lead generation.
- Selling the "No Lock-In" Advantage: Leverage our customer-friendly month-to-month agreement structure to eliminate client risk, highlighting our ~10-year average client retention rate to build trust and close deals faster.
- Targeted Outbound Prospecting: Execute outbound sales campaigns targeting $1M+ US trade contractors through cold calling, email sequences, video outreach, trade association channels, and referral networks.
- Platform Demos & Pitch Leadership: Conduct virtual software and web demos highlighting platform features, local map dominance, landing page conversion structures, and lead tracking dashboards.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain accurate opportunity stages, account intelligence, and revenue forecasting in HubSpot/Salesforce.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience selling proprietary web platforms, SEO solutions, or digital lead generation services to business owners ($1M+ revenue), ideally in the home services or commercial trades sector.
- Location: Must reside within the DFW Metroplex for local strategy sessions and team collaboration.
- Platform & SEO Acumen: Deep understanding of search engine optimization, local pack/map rankings, lead-capture mechanics (click-to-call, online booking integrations), and the value proposition of a proprietary SaaS/web platform vs. generic CMS builds.
- Non-eCommerce Focus: Expert in lead-generation sales models; experience with e-commerce is not required or applicable.
- Sales Track Record: Proven ability to manage full-cycle sales, address owner-level objections, and close high-value accounts that deliver long-term recurring revenue.

Business Development Lead Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business development lead in Texas?
Business development leads in Texas do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field alongside several years in a quota-carrying sales or account management role. Many professionals move into the lead role after working as a business development representative or account executive. Industry certifications such as Salesforce credentials or HubSpot sales certifications strengthen a candidate's profile with Texas technology and healthcare employers.
How much do business development leads make in Texas?
Business development leads in Texas earn a median of about $74,590 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,550 for the lowest 10% to over $138,020 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business development leads in Texas?
Employers hiring business development leads in Texas right now include American Heart Association, AT&T, and MRB, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of energy services, enterprise software, and healthcare technology companies means demand for this role stays consistent throughout the year across both established corporations and growth-stage firms.
Which Texas cities have the most business development lead jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most business development lead openings in Texas. Houston's energy and industrial services base, Dallas's large concentration of corporate headquarters and financial services firms, and Austin's technology and SaaS ecosystem each generate steady demand, and San Antonio's healthcare and cybersecurity sectors add a meaningful share of openings as well.
Are there remote business development lead jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since business development work is fundamentally relationship-driven and often conducted over calls, video, and email rather than on-site. About 40% of business development lead openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in this state have adopted flexible arrangements for this role. Strategic account management and inbound pipeline roles tend to be the most remote-compatible positions.
How can I get hired as a business development lead in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a business development representative or inside sales associate at a Texas technology, energy services, or healthcare company, then advancing after demonstrating consistent pipeline contribution. Large Texas employers such as Dell Technologies, AT&T, and regional healthcare systems run structured sales development programs that bring in candidates without senior experience. Building a portfolio of closed deals, even in an adjacent role like account coordinator or sales operations, and earning a Salesforce or HubSpot certification both give early-career candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to business development lead jobs in Texas?
