Description
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking experienced, high-performing, and driven Specialty Sales Representatives to join our expanding commercial organization. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in the launch and growth of our cardiometabolic portfolio, including Plozasiran (siRNA targeting APOC3), developed for patients with rare and high-need cardiovascular conditions such as Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) and Severe Hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG).
This role is critical to delivering launch excellence by driving prescriber activation, accelerating therapy adoption, and ensuring sustained utilization within complex healthcare environments. The Specialty Sales Representative will operate with strategic agility, strong clinical acumen, and disciplined execution to positively impact patient outcomes.
About Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals:
Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARWR) is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that develops medicines that treat intractable diseases by silencing the genes that cause them. Using a broad portfolio of RNA chemistries and efficient modes of delivery, Arrowhead therapies trigger the RNA interference mechanism to induce rapid, deep, and durable knockdown of target genes. RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. Arrowhead’s RNAi-based therapeutics leverage this natural pathway of gene silencing.
Arrowhead is focused on developing innovative drugs for diseases with a genetic basis, typically characterized by the overproduction of one or more proteins that are involved with disease. The depth and versatility of our RNAi technologies enables us to potentially address conditions in virtually any therapeutic area and pursue disease targets that are not otherwise addressable by small molecules and biologics. Arrowhead is leading the field in bringing the promise of RNAi to address diseases outside of the liver, and our clinical pipeline includes disease targets in the liver and lung with a promising pipeline of preclinical candidates.
Arrowhead’s corporate headquarters is in Pasadena, CA with research and development teams in Madison, WI and San Diego, CA. Our employees are nimble, science-driven innovators who are collaborating to bring new therapies to patients in need.

Specialty Sales Representative Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a specialty sales representative in Texas?
Most specialty sales representative roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree, most often in business, a life science, or an engineering discipline depending on the product category. No single state-issued license governs the role broadly, though medical device and pharmaceutical reps selling regulated products may need manufacturer-specific certifications or, in certain clinical settings, hospital credentialing through programs like Vendormate or Reptrax. Building product knowledge, a clean driving record, and a record of quota-bearing sales experience are the practical prerequisites Texas hiring managers look for.
How much do specialty sales representatives make in Texas?
Specialty sales representatives in Texas earn a median of about $65,970 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,380 for the lowest 10% to over $137,020 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire specialty sales representatives in Texas?
Employers hiring specialty sales representatives in Texas right now include CHRISTUS Health, Amgen, and Azurity Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of medical centers, energy companies, and technology firms means demand is spread across multiple industries, giving candidates a wide range of product categories to pursue.
Which Texas cities have the most specialty sales representative jobs?
Tyler, Houston, and McAllen have the most specialty sales representative openings in Texas. Houston's dominance reflects its status as a hub for energy, petrochemical, and medical center-affiliated medical device accounts, while Dallas draws heavy demand from its dense concentration of corporate headquarters and distribution networks, and Austin's fast-growing technology and life sciences sector fuels consistent openings for software and equipment reps.
Are there remote specialty sales representative jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're relatively limited, since specialty sales work is fundamentally territory-based and involves in-person visits to clinics, facilities, or business accounts. About 100% of specialty sales representative openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to be in inside sales, sales operations, or account management roles where face-to-face product demonstrations are not required.
How can I get hired as a specialty sales representative in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or associate territory manager role at a large Texas-based employer, where you support senior reps before taking on your own accounts. Companies like Abbott, Medtronic, and Sysco run formal rotational or associate programs in Texas for candidates without direct specialty sales experience. Moving laterally from a clinical role, a pharmacy technician position, or a retail sales job can also open doors, particularly in medical device and pharmaceutical sales. Completing a medical sales college program or obtaining a relevant product certification strengthens a resume before the first interview.
Where can I find and apply to specialty sales representative jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to specialty sales representative jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across medical devices, technology, industrial equipment, and other specialty categories. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and preferred territory, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
