Sales Strategy Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales strategy manager job in Austin?
Focus your search on Austin's dense SaaS and enterprise software ecosystem, particularly companies clustered in the Domain and downtown, where most openings sit. Employers here favor candidates who can connect revenue modeling to go-to-market execution, so experience in quota planning, competitive analysis, or sales operations gives you a clear edge. Networking through Austin Tech Alliance events and local RevOps meetups also opens doors that job postings alone won't.
Which companies hire sales strategy managers in Austin?
Employers hiring sales strategy managers in Austin right now include Deloitte, Google, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's market is especially active among high-growth SaaS companies, regional enterprise software firms, and fintech startups that have established their commercial headquarters in the city.
Are there remote sales strategy manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, though availability varies since strategy roles that involve regular collaboration with sales leadership or field teams tend to be hybrid rather than fully remote. About 46% of sales strategy manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the city's mix of distributed and in-office tech employers. Analytical and planning-heavy functions within the role are most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get a sales strategy manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is moving into a sales strategy manager role from a sales operations analyst or revenue operations associate position, which many of Austin's mid-stage SaaS companies post as entry-level openings. Building experience with CRM data, pipeline forecasting, or territory planning at any Austin tech employer, including those with internship programs, makes the transition credible. Demonstrating familiarity with tools like Salesforce or Clari is a concrete advantage in local interviews.
Which industries hire the most sales strategy managers in Austin?
Most sales strategy manager openings in Austin sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's position as a major SaaS hub and its growing fintech presence mean these sectors consistently generate demand for roles that align commercial planning with revenue growth targets.
