Most sales strategy managers in Texas start with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, then build several years of experience in sales operations, account management, or business analysis. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers in Houston's energy corridor and Dallas's financial district consistently value candidates who can show progressive ownership of quota planning, territory design, or go-to-market execution alongside their education.
How much do sales strategy managers make in Texas?
Sales strategy managers in Texas earn a median of about $136,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $68,750 for the lowest 10% to over $268,450 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales strategy managers in Texas?
Employers hiring sales strategy managers in Texas right now include DoorDash, Google, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and large regional offices in technology, healthcare, and energy creates consistent year-round demand for this role.
Which Texas cities have the most sales strategy manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Plano have the most sales strategy manager openings in Texas. Dallas and Houston drive volume through their dense clusters of corporate headquarters and regional sales offices in technology, energy, and financial services, while Austin's fast-growing enterprise software and SaaS sector has made it a significant and expanding market for commercial strategy roles.

Yes, and more than most fields. About 48% of sales strategy manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the work. Strategic planning, forecasting, and CRM administration are the tasks most commonly performed remotely, while roles that require close coordination with field sales teams tend to favor hybrid or in-office arrangements.
How can I get hired as a sales strategy manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales operations analyst or business development representative role at a mid-size Texas technology or energy company, where you build hands-on exposure to pipeline management and revenue reporting. Large Texas employers such as Dell Technologies and AT&T run rotational business development programs that place early-career candidates in commercial strategy tracks. A Salesforce Administrator certification or a data analytics credential adds measurable credibility and helps candidates from adjacent roles in marketing analytics or finance transition into strategy work.
