Sales Strategy Manager Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales strategy manager in Pennsylvania?
Most employers in Pennsylvania expect a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related discipline as the starting point. Sales strategy manager is not a state-licensed role in Pennsylvania, so there is no required board exam or registration. The typical path runs through several years in quota-carrying sales or sales operations, followed by progression into analyst or team-lead roles before moving into strategy. Earning a certification such as Salesforce Administrator or a graduate business credential strengthens a Pennsylvania application considerably.
How much do sales strategy managers make in Pennsylvania?
Sales strategy managers in Pennsylvania earn a median of about $130,610 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,500 for the lowest 10% to over $239,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales strategy managers in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring sales strategy managers in Pennsylvania right now include ADP, The Hershey Company, and SKF, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's concentration of Fortune 500 financial services firms, large health systems, and regional technology companies means demand for the role is spread across multiple industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most sales strategy manager jobs?
Fort Washington, Hershey, and Philadelphia account for the most sales strategy manager openings in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia dominates due to its density of corporate headquarters in insurance, media, and healthcare, while Pittsburgh draws demand from technology firms and financial institutions that have expanded operations there, and Harrisburg contributes openings tied to enterprise and government-facing sales organizations.
Are there remote sales strategy manager jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and more than most fields. Sales strategy work is largely analytical and planning-focused, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 89% of sales strategy manager openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how widely employers have embraced distributed strategy teams. Roles involving CRM analysis, forecasting, and market planning tend to be the most remote-eligible, while positions requiring close coordination with field sales leadership often require some in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a sales strategy manager in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a sales operations analyst or business development associate role at a Philadelphia or Pittsburgh employer, where you build direct exposure to pipeline management and revenue reporting. Large Pennsylvania employers such as Comcast and Lincoln Financial Group run rotational business programs and associate development tracks designed for recent graduates. Moving laterally from account management, marketing operations, or financial analysis into a strategy-support function is another common route. Building proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform and assembling a portfolio of market analysis projects significantly strengthens an early-career application in Pennsylvania.
Where can I find and apply to sales strategy manager jobs in Pennsylvania?
