Job Summary
This role is within Chamberlain Group's IT Enterprise Applications function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment and (ii) Work with functional analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements; contribute to completion of functional specifications; create technical design specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the Salesforce.com (SFDC) environment
- Work with functional analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements; contribute to completion of functional specifications; create technical design specifications
- Develop changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines
- Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
- Unit test application changes to ensure quality of work; analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications
- Support production systems; proactively monitor systems to enable smooth operations; work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests
- Develop web applications and web services using Salesforce, Apex, SOQL, Visualforce or other web development technologies such as SOAP, REST, and XML
- Drive optimization of Chamberlain Group's Salesforce.com Cloud workflows and processes. Continually revise and streamline production processes to increase efficiencies and/or effectiveness
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams
- Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- Salesforce Developer and Experience Cloud Certification preferred and/or equivalent Salesforce Developer experience
Experience:
- 3+ years experience as an application developer in a SFDC environment
- 3+ years experience with SFDC development using: Lightning Web Components, Visual Workflows, Visual Force Pages/Components, Salesforce Data Loader, Apex (Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Apex Data Loader); Salesforce Lightning; Experience Builder; HTML/CSS/JavaScript; JAVA
- Intermediate Flow building skill set
- Good project management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience working with technology integrators, IT resources
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical understanding of SFDC development tools and technologies including LWCs, Visual Workflows, Visual Force Pages/Components, Salesforce Data Loader, Apex (Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Apex Data Loader); Salesforce Lightning; Experience Builder; HTML/CSS/JavaScript; JAVA
- Strong skills in systems analysis, problem analysis, troubleshooting, and technical error resolution
- Working knowledge of Agile software development processes and how to take a solution from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment
- Solid requirements analysis skills and ability to identify alternatives for solutions to business problems
- Solid data analysis skills and ability to translate business reporting needs into specific data requirements
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders; collaborate effectively
- Ability to estimate work efforts consistently and accurately; manages own time to meet estimates and project deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications:
Experience:
- Experience with Boomi, SAP BTP, or equivalent middleware/integration tools
- Intermediate Knowledge with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud
- Experience with integration of phone system solutions to Service Cloud
- Experience writing and grooming effective user stories
- Additional certifications preferred such as: Platform Developer II, Experience Cloud, Service Consultant, Manufacturing Cloud and Platform App Builder
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills; Salesforce Stack Exchange; Salesforce MVC Model; Dell Boomi, SAP BTP familiar with Federated Search: Coveo, Mindbreeze, Solr, Google Search Appliance; experience setting up single sign-on between systems; browser development; app integration
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server: SOAP, SOQL and SOSL, Process Builder, Workflow and Approval

The pay range for this position is $76,600.00 - $144,700.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
