Senior devops engineer roles in Nebraska do not require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education, certifications, and demonstrated experience. Most Nebraska employers expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, though candidates with strong portfolios and cloud certifications are regularly considered. Earning certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or HashiCorp Terraform Associate signals readiness for senior-level work in Nebraska's market.
How much do senior devops engineers make in Nebraska?
Senior devops engineers in Nebraska earn a median of about $110,900 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $77,520 for the lowest 10% to over $158,720 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior devops engineers in Nebraska?
Companies currently hiring senior devops engineers in Nebraska include CVS Health, Boys Town, and Ryder System, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's mix of financial services firms, logistics companies, and defense contractors means devops demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Nebraska cities have the most senior devops engineer jobs?
The cities with the most senior devops engineer openings in Nebraska are Omaha, Lincoln, and Nebraska. Omaha drives the bulk of listings as Nebraska's largest tech and financial services hub, with anchor employers like Union Pacific, Nelnet, and major insurance carriers, while Lincoln's state government agencies and university health system contribute a steady share of openings.
