Service Advisor Jobs in Plano: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a service advisor job in Plano?
Focus your search on Plano's dense concentration of franchised dealerships along the Dallas North Tollway and US-75 corridors, plus the fleet and equipment service operations anchored in Legacy Business Park. Candidates who stand out typically have hands-on automotive service experience, strong customer communication skills, and familiarity with manufacturer warranty processes. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a genuine edge given the local customer base.
Which companies hire service advisors in Plano?
Employers hiring service advisors in Plano right now include Jiffy Lube, Pro finish, and Sam's Club, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Plano draws a mix of large franchised dealership groups, independent multi-point service centers, and corporate fleet operators, reflecting the city's high vehicle ownership rates and strong suburban commercial base.
Are there remote service advisor jobs in Plano?
Yes, though sparingly, since service advisor work is largely on-site by nature, requiring in-person customer interaction and coordination with technicians. About 0% of service advisor openings tied to Plano are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and these openings tend to be in warranty coordination, service scheduling, or customer follow-up roles rather than floor-facing advisor positions.
How can I get a service advisor job in Plano with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Plano is through a service porter, lot attendant, or service scheduling coordinator role at one of the franchised dealership groups concentrated near the Dallas North Tollway. Many Plano dealerships promote internally, and starting in a customer-facing support role gives you direct exposure to the write-up and intake process. Completing a manufacturer-certified service advisor training program strengthens your candidacy significantly.
