Social Media Intern – Residential Real Estate (Fall Internship)
Location: Legacy West Office (Plano) or Polygon Office (Dallas) — in-office role, hybrid as needed; travel to vacant properties across Dallas–Fort Worth required
Pay Rate: $15–$16/hour
Employment Type: 1099 Internship (independent contractor)
Duration: August 2026 – December 2026 (Fall Internship); may be extended through May 2027
About Us
We are a residential real estate company managing properties across the DFW, Houston, and other markets. We're looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team for the fall and help showcase our homes and communities online.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media posts for multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) to highlight residential properties across all markets.
- Plan, write, and execute email marketing campaigns to promote properties, community events, and company updates.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Marketing, Leasing, and Property Management teams to align content and campaigns with leasing and occupancy goals.
- Attend weekly meetings with the Marketing, Property Management, and Leasing teams.
- Collaborate with Field Operations team members to capture videos, photos, and other content for social media.
- Travel to vacant properties throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area to gather content and assess property presentation.
- Assist with special projects assigned by the senior leadership team.
- Support the Property Management team in promoting community events and property features online.
- Learn and use property management and showing tools such as AppFolio and ShowDigs.
- Work with different departments and be open to coaching and learning new platforms and processes.
Qualifications
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Have completed at least a few marketing classes or coursework.
- Strong interest in social media, email marketing, and real estate.
- Creative mindset with good attention to detail.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar).
- Knows how to film and capture content (photo/video) for social media use.
- Self-starter and go-getter — able to take ownership of tasks and run with them independently.
- Reliable and dependable, with a consistent, dependable work/school history.
- Comfortable traveling to properties within the DFW area.
- Coachable, adaptable, and able to work across different departments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Reliable transportation (required for travel to vacant properties).
