Responsibilities include:
- Assistance with multimedia permitting and permit compliance efforts,
- Preparing and assisting with audits of regulatory compliance programs and management systems,
- Data handling and analysis for a wide range of environmental projects,
- Environmental plan review and preparation,
- Providing field support for groundwater and soil investigations, and
- Completion of environmental regulatory reporting for industrial clients.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related discipline (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Resource Management, or similar).
- One to three years of direct environmental compliance experience, including work related to CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, and SPCC.
- Valid driver’s license
- Requirement to spend time both in NGE’s offices and on location at client sites, with the potential for overnight travel.
- Good communication and analytical skills,
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, and Access),
- Strong writing skills,
- Self-starter: the ability to develop and deliver work under own initiative,
- Solid attention to detail, and
- Comfortable working both in the field and in the office.
