Mid Level Strategic Account Executive Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level strategic account executive job?
Position yourself around ownership: highlight accounts you managed independently, revenue you retained or expanded, and deals you closed without heavy supervision. Employers at this level want proof you can run a full account cycle, not just support one. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as renewal rates or upsell percentages, and demonstrate that you understand the strategic needs of your buyer, not just the transactional ones.
Which companies hire mid level strategic account executives?
Companies hiring mid level strategic account executives right now include Datadog, WRITER, and Obsidian Security, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from growth-stage technology firms, enterprise software companies, and large B2B organizations that need experienced reps capable of managing complex, high-value accounts with real autonomy.
Are there remote mid level strategic account executive jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 78% of mid level strategic account executive openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how many companies have shifted to distributed sales teams. Fully remote roles are more common in SaaS and technology, while industries with hands-on client relationships tend to favor hybrid arrangements.
How do I move up to a mid level strategic account executive role?
The path into mid level typically runs through consistently hitting quota in a junior or associate role, then taking on progressively larger or more complex accounts. What accelerates the move is demonstrating ownership: leading QBRs independently, managing the full renewal cycle, and showing you can influence a deal without a manager in the room. Building a record of measurable account growth is what hiring managers look for when they evaluate candidates for mid level.
Which industries hire the most mid level strategic account executives?
Mid Level strategic account executive roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Cybersecurity, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026.
