ROLE
Join Supply Chain Operations in Austin, TX and help accelerate AMD product revenues. Partner with AMD Business Units and rack manufacturers (ODMs) to provision capacity and supply ahead of end-customer orders. Own rack supply planning, including validated demand inputs, clear-to-build (CTB) material readiness, and factory capacity/throughput, and serve as the central source for rack supply commitments.
THE PERSON
You are analytical, action-oriented, and comfortable operating at pace amid ambiguity. You turn demand signals into executable plans, align cross-functional partners (Business Units, Procurement, Engineering, Operations), and drive closure with external manufacturers. You communicate clearly, translate constraints into options, and follow through to protect commitments and revenue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demand Alignment (Primary Focus):
- Clarify rack-level demand with Business Units using validated inputs and disciplined forecast change control.
- Translate BU demand signals into rack forecasts for ODMs, suppliers, and AMD procurement and engineering.
- Compare AMD forecasts to customer order coverage; highlight gaps, deltas, and timing risk.
- Maintain an end-to-end demand-to-supply view across the S&OP horizon (demand, build/ship plans, constraints, risks).
- Run a regular cadence of forecast reviews and escalations to keep plans aligned to BU priorities and revenue targets.
Supply Readiness & Commitments:
- Secure rack supply commitments from ODMs and document constraints and recovery plans.
- Drive factory readiness by closing enablement gaps (materials, test, tooling, engineering) with AMD partners.
- Publish the consolidated rack supply view and communicate status, risks, and actions.
- Validate CTB readiness, including component availability and purchase order coverage, to support committed builds.
Operational Execution:
- Lead ODM capacity planning across the S&OP horizon, including throughput assumptions and constraint scenarios.
- Prioritize builds to best meet BU needs and customer commitments.
- Close rack supply gaps with stakeholders and factories to protect revenue (expedites, alternates, reallocation, recovery).
- Track readiness levers: PO coverage, CTB materials, capacity, test enablement, yield, and cycle time.
- Remove blockers such as BOM readiness, PO issues, and master data gaps to enable build and ship execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience connecting demand signals to supply plans across multiple planning horizons (short-, mid-, and long-range).
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and external manufacturers to secure commitments and drive issue closure.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, able to deliver clear, decision-ready updates to senior stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting rack-scale systems, server/data center hardware, or other complex, multi-level BOM environments.
- Experience with contract manufacturers/ODMs, including capacity, constraints, and delivery commitments.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and planning tools; strong Excel skills (Power BI a plus).
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM/CSCP) or similar supply chain certification is a plus.
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS) is a plus.
