ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Team Lead, Operations and Supply Chain will lead, mentor and coach the day-to-day operations for operations as well as supply chain. They will help manage the inbound, storage, organizing, picking of finished goods inventory, and manage supply levels of raw materials needed on site. This role will also be responsible for using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, implement, manage and enhance operations and supply chain processes. They will be responsible for assembling data, making supply chain decisions, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing processes and solutions that support supply chain planning and operations.
What you'll do:
- Lead the team of Operations and Supply Chain Specialists in the management of supply chain and finished goods inventory
- Supervise and train the team to optimize quality, productivity, and costs
- Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures
- Analyze trade velocity of product categories and evaluate inventory levels that the Verification Center should have on-hand
- Gather and interpret relevant data from inventory levels, Verification Center capacity, costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.
- Review inventory levels of packaging materials and work with suppliers to bring in replenishment supplies for daily operations
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, develops and implements solutions within Operations and Supply Chain processes
- Monitors contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers
- Provides analytical support for projects, system implementations, market expansions, geographical expansions, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Coordinates delivery schedules and other supply chain activities
- Leads weekly meetings with key suppliers to review actual performance, estimate future demand and resolve operational issues and provides reporting on daily, weekly and monthly key performance metrics
- Establish team member staffing to meet the daily business demands, quality and productivity targets
- Ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment and shipment of all customer orders
- Analyzes production metrics and recommend process and system improvements to increase quality and lower cost
- Create, maintain and foster a safe and team-based work environment
- Work cross-functionally with all departments to identify, develop and execute on process improvements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, inventory control, operations, or a related field
- On-site Warehouse experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members
- Ability to manage large workloads while prioritizing between multiple tasks
- Advanced subject matter knowledge in operations and supply chain
- Confident in making independent decisions in an ambiguous environment
- Comfortable strategizing and executing plan for process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to build trust and consensus amongst a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and other common basic office software
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Lean/Six Sigma/ continuous improvement experience a plus
COMPENSATION
- Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $65,000 to $70,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
