Talent Acquisition — Omaha, NE
Is this you?
You got into recruiting because you're good with people, but somewhere along the way the job became transactional. Take the order, post the role, fill the seat, repeat.
You want more than that. You want to actually find the right person — and work somewhere that values you for doing it well.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll recruit skilled technical and trades talent for a 700+ person production operation — machine troubleshooters, maintenance techs, electricians, design and mechanical engineers, and production supervisors.
This isn't LinkedIn-only sourcing for one narrow niche. These roles demand creativity, and you'll have the freedom to go find talent wherever it lives.
You'll also partner closely with hiring managers — coaching them, asking the sharp questions, and influencing decisions as a trusted advisor rather than an order-taker. Here, the HR team is genuinely respected and relied on.
And if you've got ideas? Bring them. The team is actively looking for someone to sharpen their SOPs, test new tools and automation, and help the talent function keep evolving.
Where you'll be doing it
In Omaha, alongside three other recruiters on a team that shares the load and has each other's backs — across a large, multistate operation.
What you'll need
- 2+ years of recruiting experience
- Varied blue-collar and skilled-trades sourcing (not just healthcare)
- A track record of building real relationships with hiring managers
- Comfort navigating compensation conversations and negotiations
What you'll get
A place where finding the right person matters more than speed — time-to-fill isn't even tracked. A collaborative team. Work that's challenging without burning you out. And a function where your fresh ideas are wanted.

Talent Acquisition Associate Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition associate in Nebraska?
Most Nebraska employers require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or psychology as the starting point. There is no state-issued license or exam for this role in Nebraska, so the path runs through education, then early HR experience. The Society for Human Resource Management offers the SHRM-CP credential that Nebraska employers widely recognize, and completing it before or alongside your first role gives a meaningful competitive edge.
Which companies hire talent acquisition associates in Nebraska?
Companies currently hiring talent acquisition associates in Nebraska include Strobel Energy Group, Fortrex, and Kidwell, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's large healthcare networks, financial services headquarters, and rail and logistics companies maintain some of the most active in-house recruiting teams in the state.
Which Nebraska cities have the most talent acquisition associate jobs?
Omaha, Nebraska, and La Vista account for the largest share of talent acquisition associate openings in Nebraska. Omaha dominates because it is home to major corporate headquarters in insurance, banking, and healthcare, while Lincoln's openings are driven by state government agencies, the University of Nebraska system, and regional healthcare employers, and Bellevue's listings reflect the military and defense contractor presence at Offutt Air Force Base.
Are there remote talent acquisition associate jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than most fields, because talent acquisition work is largely desk-based, phone-driven, and conducted through digital tools that translate well to remote settings. About 67% of talent acquisition associate openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted off-site. Sourcing, screening, and coordination tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition associate in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an HR coordinator or recruiting coordinator role, which Nebraska employers such as Nebraska Medicine, Mutual of Omaha, and CHI Health regularly post as stepping stones into talent acquisition. Internships through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln or University of Nebraska Omaha HR programs place students directly with corporate teams. Building experience in scheduling interviews, maintaining applicant tracking systems, or coordinating onboarding in any administrative role makes a candidate credible for an associate-level move.
Where can I find and apply to talent acquisition associate jobs in Nebraska?
