A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is the standard starting point. Roles that stop short of requiring a CPA often still expect coursework in taxation and demonstrated experience with federal and Rhode Island state returns.
How much do tax consultants make in Rhode Island?

Which Rhode Island cities have the most tax consultant jobs?

Providence drives the bulk of listings as the state's commercial and financial center, home to major accounting firms, insurers, and corporate headquarters, while Warwick and Cranston attract openings tied to the established insurance and professional services employers anchored near T.F.
