About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong Software Engineering background to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development initiatives. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to drive technical programs from concept to launch while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
This is an onsite position based in Plano, Texas, ideal for candidates who enjoy working at the intersection of technology, program management, and software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end software development programs and technical initiatives.
- Partner with Software Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and stakeholders to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive Agile processes, sprint planning, risk management, and project execution.
- Monitor program health, dependencies, milestones, and delivery metrics.
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and ensure alignment across teams.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Support architecture reviews, technical discussions, and engineering planning.
- Improve delivery processes, operational efficiency, and development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or Project Management.
- Prior hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Technical Lead.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of software architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise software environments.
