PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Technical Project Manager will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of technology‑driven projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline requirements while coordinating technical teams and business stakeholders. The position will serve as the primary point of contact between all stakeholders during the project phase and oversee all activities throughout the initiation, scoping, requirements gathering, execution, testing, and customer acceptance phases of the project.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria with stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans, schedules, and communication plans.
- Manage budgets, track actuals, and forecast remaining spend.
- Oversee execution of technical work, ensuring feasibility and alignment with business goals.
- Identify and manage project and program-level risks and issues via documented project/program risk and issue processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Review scope changes and change orders to ensure that they are valid and include proper justification.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project progress and resolve issues.
- Chair, facilitate and coordinate project meetings; prepare clear, sufficiently detailed minutes.
- Ensure regular and meaningful project communications, including dashboards, reports and metrics, to enable timely information and analyses for executive leaders.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to optimize project delivery and ensure profitability.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess project success, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.
- Create and monitor KPI’s to ensure continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT or project management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multitask, problem solve under pressure and manage cross functional teams.
- Experience leading automation and AI projects desirable.
- Experience within the Healthcare Provider or Payor space preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability being detailed oriented with the ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects, independently.
- Good problem-solving skills; define/understand the problem, identify constraints, work towards the best possible solution.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (agile and waterfall), tools (i.e. Smartsheet, MS Project Planner) and best practices.
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve challenges effectively.
- Strong PC aptitude and skills, with Microsoft products such as: M365, MS Project and Copilot.
- Expert in value stream mapping, root cause analysis, change management and project management.
