Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Healthcare Project Manager
Map your credentials to USMCA categories
TN classification for healthcare project managers typically flows through Management Consultant. Your degree and job duties must align with that category, so document how your role applies specialized healthcare knowledge to solve organizational problems, not just coordinate tasks.
Request an employer support letter early
Canadian applicants can enter at the port of entry with a strong employer letter, bypassing a consulate appointment entirely. Ask your hiring manager to describe the consulting nature of the role, your qualifications, and the project scope before you start the visa paperwork.
Target health systems with dedicated immigration teams
Large hospital networks, health plan administrators, and healthcare IT firms regularly file for TN workers and have HR staff who understand the process. Prioritize employers where someone on the team has handled TN sponsorship before, so you're not educating them from scratch.
Use Migrate Mate to find open TN roles
Search Migrate Mate to identify Healthcare Project Manager positions at employers with recent visa filings who are experienced with work visa sponsorship. Filtering by TN-eligible roles saves time and connects you directly with hiring managers already familiar with sponsoring international talent.
Clarify project scope to avoid duty-classification problems
CBP officers sometimes challenge whether a project manager role qualifies as management consulting versus general coordination. Work with your employer to ensure the offer letter specifies that you'll deliver expert analysis, recommendations, and solutions, not ongoing operational management.
Verify Mexican applicants' timeline before accepting an offer
Mexican TN applicants must schedule a U.S. consulate appointment, which adds weeks to the start date. Confirm the current appointment availability at your nearest consulate through the USCIS-linked scheduling system before committing to a start date with your employer.

Find Healthcare Project Manager JobsHealthcare Project Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Healthcare Project Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, but the job duties determine eligibility, not the title alone. The role must involve applying specialized healthcare knowledge to advise on or manage complex systems, operations, or clinical programs, consistent with the USMCA's Management Consultant category. A project manager who primarily coordinates schedules may not qualify, while one leading EHR implementations or population health initiatives typically does.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start as soon as the employer's sponsorship documentation is approved, sometimes within days at the port of entry. H-1B requires entering a randomized lottery in April with an October start date at the earliest. For Healthcare Project Managers who qualify under the Management Consultant category, TN is a faster and more predictable path.
Where can I find Healthcare Project Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface TN-eligible roles for Canadian and Mexican professionals. You can search Healthcare Project Manager positions and filter for employers with recent visa filings, which saves significant time compared to screening general job postings where visa eligibility is unclear or unstated.
What documentation does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that describes the professional capacity of the role, your specific duties, your qualifications, the project or engagement scope, and the period of employment. For healthcare roles, the letter should explicitly connect your specialized knowledge to the consulting or advisory nature of the work to satisfy CBP or consular review.
Can Mexican Healthcare Project Managers apply at the border like Canadians?
No. Mexican TN applicants must apply at a U.S. consulate abroad and cannot use the port-of-entry process available to Canadians. The annual TN allocation for Mexican nationals also applies, though it has not historically been exhausted. Plan for a consulate appointment and allow extra lead time before your intended start date when negotiating your offer.
