Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Partnerships Coordinator
Frame your credentials around USMCA categories
Partnerships Coordinator isn't a named TN visa category, so your offer letter must map the role to a qualifying classification like Management Consultant. Work with your employer to ensure the job duties description reflects that alignment before any filing begins.
Target employers with cross-border partnership experience
Companies that already manage Canadian or Mexican vendor relationships are far more likely to understand TN sponsorship and move quickly through the offer process. Focus your outreach on multinationals and tech firms with North American operations.
Verify your degree field supports the TN classification
A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is typically required to substantiate the management consultant classification at a port of entry or consulate. Gather official transcripts and a credential evaluation if your degree was earned outside the U.S. or Canada.
Search for TN-sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Partnerships Coordinator openings by employers with active TN visa sponsorship history, so you're not spending weeks on roles where sponsorship isn't actually available.
Prepare a precise employer support letter before border entry
Canadian professionals presenting at a port of entry need an employer letter that specifies your title, duties, salary, and the specific TN category being claimed. CBP officers adjudicate on the spot, so vague or incomplete letters are a common cause of denial.
Understand that Mexican applicants must book a consular appointment
Unlike Canadians, Mexican nationals cannot obtain TN status at the border. You'll apply at a U.S. consulate in Mexico, and current wait times vary by city and season. Factor consular processing timelines into your start date negotiations with your employer.
Partnerships Coordinator TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partnerships Coordinator role qualify for TN visa status?
It can, but Partnerships Coordinator isn't a listed TN occupation by name. The role typically qualifies under the Management Consultant category, which requires that your duties involve providing expert advice on business practices, organizational structure, or partner strategy. Your employer's support letter must describe your responsibilities in a way that maps clearly to that classification, or CBP or a consular officer may deny the application.
How does TN compare to H-1B for a Partnerships Coordinator position?
TN is significantly faster and more predictable for this role. There's no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and no multi-month USCIS processing queue for most cases. H-1B visa selection is random and capped at 85,000 annually, meaning many qualified candidates wait years before getting a slot. If you're Canadian or Mexican and your role qualifies under a TN category, TN is the more direct path to U.S. employment.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer must supply a signed support letter on company letterhead that states your job title, a detailed description of your duties, your qualifications, your salary, and the intended TN classification. For Management Consultant, the letter should explain how your work constitutes consulting rather than general employment. Some employers also provide a copy of the relevant USMCA category language to help the reviewing officer.
How can I find Partnerships Coordinator jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, which means you spend significant time applying to roles where sponsorship isn't available. Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface jobs with TN visa sponsorship, so you can search Partnerships Coordinator openings and see which employers are actively open to TN candidates before you apply.
Can I switch employers while on TN status as a Partnerships Coordinator?
Yes, but your TN status is employer-specific and tied to the original petition. If you accept a new role, your new employer must file a fresh TN petition or you must obtain a new TN at a port of entry or consulate before you begin working. You cannot simply transfer your existing TN to a new employer the way some other visa categories allow.
